Hugo Lloris: Tottenham Hotspur keeper signs new contract

Lloris joined Tottenham from French side Lyon in 2012.

Spurs have only lost twice in the league this season, and now lie in 5th place, within striking distance of the top four and rivals Arsenal.

The France captain has agreed a three-year extension and is the ninth different player to sign a new contract since the end of last season.

The 29-year-old, who is also the skipper of the French national team, has collected 85 caps for Les Bleus since making his debut in 2008.

Lloris signed the new contract in the presence of the manager, Mauricio Pochettino, in what has become a familiar and much-parodied pose.

Carmon said she was unable to remember accident details, the way she returned home, or where the auto was, the newspaper reported. Police said the boy was "in a state of severe hypothermia", and while he was alive, he was on the verge of death.

Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen are just four of the regular starters to have signed new deals, but the future of Lloris had remained uncertain until this week.

"I don't believe it's a danger for us", Pochettino said.

"We have to take more steps ahead, we've got the new stadium coming up, this year we played Champions League football for the first time with this group so these kind of things are very positive".

Pochettino was snapped deep in conversation with his Tottenham players during the training session as the Argentinian coach prepares to return his former employers, Southampton.

"All the players respect him and identify him like a leader".
