A certain BJP leader named Akhilesh Khandelwal who is the chairman of MPs Hosangabad Municipal Corporation, has apparently announced a prize money of Rs 10,000 on anyone who slaps Sanjay Leela Bhansali with a shoe.
This formal action comes days after the director was assaulted and the films' sets at the Jaigarh fort were vandalised by members of the local group. The film crew is shaken by the assault.
"The opposition over distortion of historical facts was right". It is time Vasundhara Raje acknowledges something rotting in the state of Rajasthan.
The director of the film - Sanjay Leela Bhansali - clarified to the Karni Sena that there was no love sequence between the characters of Rani Padmavati and Allauddin Khilji, as he sought to complete his film peacefully.
Union minister Giriraj Singh also demanded that there should be no distortion of historical facts in the movie. "In spite of this, the attack on the shoot and crew was uncalled for and was extremely damaging to the image of the attractive city of Jaipur", an excerpt from the statement had read. We have been carefully researching and making the film.
HP recalls more than 100000 batteries for possible overheating
The company warns users that batteries identified as unaffected by the earlier recall could still be risky . At the same time, though, it urged the technology industry to put a greater emphasis on battery safety.
The incident has evoked strong condemnation from members of the film industry who have called upon the industry to unite against such forces.
However, the Karni Sena had also demanded that the film's name be changed and that the film be screened before them before it gets released.
The incident elicited strong support from the Hindi film fraternity for Bhansali.
The Sena be shown the film before its theatrical release. "We want to bring Rani Padmavati's courageous nature in front of the entire world", she said. There is, however, no clarity on whether Bhansali has agreed to drop the name "Padmavati" even as the film maker says that the film has been cleared and that an agreement has been reached with the Karni Sena.
