Hulu Confirms Stephen King's 'Castle Rock' Episode Length And Synopsis

"Soon. Be afraid", King warned on Twitter after the minute-long teaser was revealed. Could it be sort of like a Once Upon a Time type of series, only set in the horror universe of Stephen King?

The show, Castle Rock, get its name from the fictional town that first appeared in The Dead Zone, and then resurfaced in many other works such as Cujo, Needful Things, and The Body novella (which was adapted by Rob Reiner as Stand by Me).

Other upcoming Hulu series include the first season of 'National Treasure' on March 1, 'The Handmaid's Tale' on April 26, Marvel's 'Runaways,' a reimagining of 'Foxy Brown' starring Meagan Good, and 'Future Man' from executive producers Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Matt Tolmach, and James Weaver. The Hulu project finds Stephen King and J.J. Abrams coming together for something intriguing. While the series will be available exclusively via Hulu in the U.S., Warner Bros. will distribute the project globally. Worldwide Television Distribution handling distribution global distribution.

Sources tell THR that Sam Shaw (Manhattan) and Dusty Thomason are also attached to the drama, which hails from Abrams and his Warner Bros. Abrams through his company Bad Robot. Abrams and Stephen King - hasn't even begun production yet but is already drumming up some serious buzz.

In its own tweet, Bad Robot said about the upcoming Castle Rock show, "What is the hoax in the forest?"
