The rub for Trump here: Gorsuch spokesman Ron Bonjean and one of Gorsuch's Senate sherpas, former Sen.
President Trump hit longtime critic John McCain in a series of tweets early Thursday morning, following the Arizona senator's comments about the recent "failure" of a raid in Yemen, which killed a US military service member and at least 30 others.
"Sen. McCain should not be talking about the success or failure of a mission in the media".
The White House has repeatedly claimed that the Yemen operation was a huge success, and White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said McCain should apologize for stating otherwise.
Sen. John McCain insists he's a supporter of President Donald Trump, even as he has once again emerged as his biggest Republican foe on Capitol Hill. During the campaign, Trump outraged veterans and fellow Republicans by saying McCain, who spent 5 1/2 years as a prisoner of war, wasn't a hero because he was shot down over North Vietnam and captured.
If it was unclear before if John McCain was going to be a major thorn in the side of Donald Trump, that was cleared up this morning when Trump tweeted that McCain "emboldens the enemy". The Pentagon said U.S. Navy SEAL William "Ryan" Owens was killed in the raid along with 14 members of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. He's a war hero because he was captured.
Yemen's ambassador to the USA said his country's cooperation should not come "at the expense of the Yemeni citizens and the country's sovereignty". Spicer repeated his declaration that the January 28 strike - which also left an 8-year-old girl and an unknown number of other civilians dead - was a "huge success". A statement released after those comments by McCain pointed out that he would not describe it as "a success".

Bruce Rauner's first term of office is up. "I have a vision for the future that restores the economy", Kennedy said. Rauner's taken a state government budget problem and turned it into economic chaos for the rest of the state".
He called Navy SEAL Ryan a "hero" who "died on a winning mission ( according to General Mattis), not a 'failure.' Time for the USA to get smart and start winning again!" "He's been losing so long he doesn't know how".
This wasn't the first time Trump had criticized McCain.
Trump also is wrong on the facts.
"Just because somebody died - and my respect to Ryan, it's a tragic loss for the SEAL community - that said", Higbie continued, "we sign up for this, we understand that these are the risks and we can have a successful mission if we have a loss of life, unfortunately".
According to a US official, an intercept indicated that someone within the vicinity of the al-Qaeda compound may have heard aircraft approaching.
"When you lose a $75 million airplane and, more importantly, an American life is lost ..."
