Iran has imposed sanctions on 15 American companies over their alleged support for Israel, terrorism and repression in the region.
Iran on Sunday announced it is leveling sanctions against 15 American companies in response to the United States leveling of sanctions against Iranian companies.
Tehran's decision to impose sanctions on these American companies comes just two days after Washington announced that it will impose sanctions on 30 foreign individuals and companies linked to Iran's ballistic missile program.
These companies have directly or indirectly collaborated with Israel in "committing its savage crimes in occupied Palestinian territories, thrown their weight behind Israel's terrorist acts or contributed to the expansion of illegal Israeli settlements in Palestinian territories in flagrant violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2334", the foreign ministry said in a statement.
Some of the USA companies mentioned in the sanction are, United Technologies, ITT Corporation, Magnum Research INC, Military Armament Corporation and Bushmaster Firearms International.

President Donald Trump's administration, as expected, has officially greenlighted the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline . In addition to Native American tribes, environmental groups like 350.org and others said they're fighting the project.
The sanctions bar the companies from making any agreements with Iranian firms, a seizure of their assets, as well as banning visas for its former and current directors.
It was not immediately clear if any of the companies had any dealings with Iran or whether they would be affected in any way by Tehran's action. Iranian Foreign Affairs Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif named the 15 companies in a statement he released.
Iran Daily News reported the Iranian Foreign Ministry statement indicated the US companies have "directly or indirectly collaborated with the Israeli regime in committing its savage crimes in occupied Palestine, thrown their weight behind the regime's terrorist acts or contributed to the expansion of illegal Israeli settlements in Palestinian territories in flagrant violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2334".
