The centre's executive director, Eldad Goldfarb, said the threats are disruptive and pose a concern. An affiliated Canadian JCC in Vancouver, British Columbia, also received a threat later deemed "non-credible", according to the Jewish Press.
On Sunday afternoon, Winnipeg's Jewish community gathered with flags in hand and peacefully protested against the threats to their community locally and worldwide.
"We condemn these cowardly and despicable acts and urge national law enforcement and public officials to make it their highest priority to find these perpetrators and bring them to justice", Hyman and Semel wrote Sunday in the email, which was also provided to cleveland.com. "As always, thank you for your understanding, support and encouragement".
Other threats made Sunday include those to JCCs in Vancouver, Delaware, Indiana, Ohio, Texas, and Wisconsin.
Bomb threats forced Jewish Community Centers at least five states in the USA and one in Vancouver, British Columbia to evacuate or go to alert Sunday, on the Jewish holiday of Purim.

Former New York Yankee Rodriguez, 41, ended a less-than-year-old relationship last month with Silicon Valley CEO Anne Wojcicki . When Cohen asked about sex tapes , Lopez said no, but then squirmed a little when asked if she's ever made one before.

Cuomo's remarks came as there were a number of bomb threats reported against Jewish Community Centers across North America on Sunday, continuing a pattern that has plagued the United States recently. He directed the State Police to work with federal and local law enforcement on an investigation.
Cuomo announced that more than 120 members of state and local law enforcement forces in NY participated in a four-day training session to identify and investigate hate crimes.
The Mandel JCC adopted new security protocols in response to the recent threats.
On Tuesday night, the centre, located on West 41st Avenue and Oak Street, was evacuated following a bomb threat.
