Microsoft have unveiled a new series of controllers for Xbox One. Microsoft said on the Xbox Wire that military tech and sci-fi mechanical gear served as inspirations while developing the line. The new Xbox One controller that launched with the Xbox One S has grips, too; the launch version does not.
As for the Recon Tech controller, it will cost $70 and comes out April 25 worldwide.
The front of the new controller is laser etched with gold accents and the back features a "textured diamond rubberized grip for added control and comfort".
What do you think about Microsoft's "Tech" range of controllers?
Adrian Peterson will not return to Vikings
Of course, Adrian Peterson - the future Hall of Famer who Murray will replace in Minnesota - remains out there and available. Pro Bowl running back Latavius Murray is meeting with the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday, according to ESPN.
Whether or not the Tech controller series will be quite as good quality as the Pro controllers remains to be seen. Previous year also saw the launch of color-customizable Design Lab controllers for the Xbox One, which players can build online via a web interface and order for shipment.
The controller will be compatible with the upcoming Copilot feature on Xbox One, allowing gamers to use two Xbox wireless controllers as one.
In addition, players will be able to access custom button-mapping through the Xbox Accessories app, which is available through both the Xbox Store and Windows Store.
There's a new Xbox One controller coming next month, and it's got a decided military flavor.
