Warriors shooting touch off, but still too much for Knicks

With the Spurs, Clippers and Rockets healthy, a Kevin Durant-less Warriors team, whether they accept it or not, will not make it to the National Basketball Association finals.

"Enjoy the sounds of the game", the Knicks' scoreboard announced in telling fans that the first half would be played without music, video or in-game entertainment. It was unusual. I kind of liked it better in the second half.

But before we get into the notes.let's give it up for Draymond Green!

Schroder: "I don't understand coach's decision".

It's hard not to laugh at Green using words like "pathetic" and "ridiculous" and "disrespect" when his major claim to fame is wildly kicking opponents. That could change later this week, when the Warriors follow up Wednesday's home game against Boston with a back-to-back set in Minnesota and San Antonio. The Hawks used only nine players for the fourth straight game. It completely changed it.

Pep Guardiola: 'I am not scared' to play Manchester City youngsters
There was sarcastic applause from some City fans when he saved Huddersfield's second shot on goal just before halftime. The FA Cup could be Citys best chance of a trophy in Guardiolas first season in charge.

"You advance things in the world to make it better, you don't go back to what was bad". We started 1-2, K [D] goes down, you got the emotions, you got those adjustments, Matt [Barnes] comes in, so we try to work him in, and he's done an fantastic job of just making everything seamless and fitting right in. Computers can do anything for us. "So that's the goal for us, to get to that level one day and be a championship contender". Why would you do that?

Green was clearly frustrated after the contest, although the feelings likely didn't stem from his own performance, considering he filled the stat sheet with 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block in one of his typical all-around outings. "It changed the flow of the game, it changed everything", said Green.

Schroder scored 19 of his 24 points in the first quarter as the Hawks jumped ahead of Golden State early before being done in by the Warriors' 3-point shooting. It was just bad, sloppy, all over the place. There was no rhythm to the game. You sort of take it for granted because every National Basketball Association game, you got all this stuff going on, music in the background. It just helps you get into a certain area, takes you to a certain place. I don't think they were doing it to, like, throw us off, but it definitely threw the entire game off.

"They need to trash that, because that's exactly what it was". Giving Porzingis the ball as often as he had it on Sunday (he led the Knicks with 21 shots) seems wise. Kristaps Porzingis called it "weird" and Carmelo Anthony referred to it as "different". The Hawks would have to play their best game if they had any hope of keeping the game close.

And the team also refused to issue an official statement about the lack of music during the game. After the response it received, we doubt it.
