Eddie Lacy is turning weight loss into private cash cow

The 27-year-old running back earned $55,000 on Monday for weighing in less than 250 pounds - the second in a series of seven fitness goals created to get him ready for the 2017 National Football League season, ESPN reported.

The contract Lacy signed with the Seahawks mandated seven weigh-ins.

During his first weight check-in last month, Lacy weighed in at 253 lbs., 2 lbs. under the 255 lbs. limit and good enough for his first $55,000 payday.

The Seahawks have not announced that Lacy made weight, but SportsTrust Advisors, the firm that represents Lacy, seemed to confirm the news on Twitter. His contract call for his playing weight to be at 245 pounds during the season. He is eligible to collect a bonus check of $55,000 after he weighed in below 250 pounds earlier today.
