Pak's BAT attack in J&K: 2 Indian soldiers & one attacker

Pakistan attempted once again to send in its Border Action Team across the Line of Control on Thursday but the major attack was foiled in the Poonch sector.

Earlier in the day, an attempt of armed intrusion by Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT) in Poonch this year was foiled at 2 p.m.

The Indian Army is giving a bifitting reply to the ceasefire violation that is taking place in Khari Karmara areas of the Poonch sector. "While the firefight was going on, Pakistani posts engaged own posts by heavy firing". Two Pakistan Border Action Team members were killed in a firefight with Indian jawans and a third one escaped back across the Line of Control.

The martyred soldiers were identified as Naik Jadhav Sandip Sarjerao, 35, of Aurangabad, and Sepoy Mane Savan Balku, 25, of Kolhapur, a defence spokesperson said in Mumbai late on Thursday.

Several other hedge funds and other institutional investors have also recently added to or reduced their stakes in the stock. Commonwealth Bank of Australia boosted its position in shares of Dick's Sporting Goods by 1.5% in the third quarter.

That attack too was carried out under the cover of shelling by the Pakistani troops. In a unsoldierly act by the Pak Army, the bodies of two of our soldiers in the patrol were mutilated. "They were 200 meters from an army post when the exchange of fire started", said an Army source.

Prior to that, a BAT attack was carried out on February 18 but there were no casualties in that.

The operation is in progress, the official said, adding further details were awaited.

Meanwhile, army claimed they killed a militant along the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector of north Kashmir s Kupwara district.
