Defender Poses In Tottenham Kit After Completing £8m Move

Tottenham have announced the signing of Argentina youth worldwide Juan Foyth from Estudiantes.

He becomes the third arrival of the summer for Tottenham, who have also snapped up Ajax's Colombian defender Davinson Sanchez and Foyth's compatriot, ex-Southampton goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga.

The 19-year-old has been a top target for Spurs throughout the transfer window, although negotiations moved slowly despite Estudiantes president Juan Sebastian Veron travelling to London to enter talks.

Spurs have been chasing after the defender all transfer window but had their initial bids rejected after not reaching Estudiantes' asking price.

Speaking after completing the deal, Foyth said Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino had convinced him to join due to his faith in young players.

Along with Bhuma Reddy, 19 other MLAs had also defected to the TDP. "We were sure of victory right from the start". The TDP cadre celebrated their party's victory in the bypoll by bursting crackers and distributing candies .

Tottenham soon emerged as favourites and Foyth confirmed earlier this week that he had opted to move to White Hart Lane in order to work under Mauricio Pochettino. "He also told me what the club was like, what job idea it had".

Foyth then said; "I'm going to enjoy it and try to give my best for the team".

"It's a club that believes in young players and I'm very pleased".

"My agent knows what leagues attract me and Russian Federation is not one of them in this moment", he told Radio Continental.

The Argentine manager, although, appears to have other options, with Oakley-Boothe seemingly being groomed to make his first-team debut, with many leading to believe the White Hart Lane outfit decided against bringing Diop to north London.
