Sick Lorde stages silent dance performance at MTV Video Music Awards

If you were watching the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, you may have been a little confused as to why Lorde danced her way through her live performance.

And not just any dancing, a very Lorde-esque interpretive dance routine that ended with her collapsing onto the ground.

Poor Lorde! But, if you saw her performance, you know she powered through. The singer tweeted earlier in the night that she had the flu and was being treated with an IV, so that could definitely explain the voiceless performance she gave; voiceless or not, though, girl went all in and, considering how many bops her latest album gave me, I'm not mad at her at all.

One Twitter follower wrote: "I came to see Lorde sing not to see her audition for So You Think You Can Dance".

This look is a bit of a departure for the 20-year-old who tends to stick to black for her red carpet appearances.

Billionaire Samsung heir Lee Jae-yong jailed for five years
Park, who was embroiled in a tumultuous series of scandals, was removed from office in March. Payments were said to include $6.4m in supporting the equestrian career of Choi's daughter.

Pink on the other hand had everyone in awe as she belted our a stream of her iconic songs.

Based on her tweet, it's clear that the reason Lorde had to rely exclusively on her moves on stage was due to the fact that the singer, while too sick to sing, still wanted to do something for her fans during one of the music's biggest nights. She then finished it with her new hitWhat AboutUs.

Lorde switched things up at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards tonight (Sunday, August 27).

She gave a attractive speech that turned into a tribute to her daughter Willow.
