Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" Takes Shots at Kanye

But the good publicity ended when Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian released evidence apparently showing Swift had approved the line, prompting accusations the singer had played the victim to build her brand.

Taylor's reference to a "tilted stage" is what brought Kanye's name into the picture as although he wasn't mentioned specifically, the rapper DID use a tilted stage on his recent Saint Pablo tour, soooo...

Kanye also took aim at Taylor on his track "Famous" past year, in which he referred to the singer as a "b***h*" and joked about sleeping with her.

This could be a reference to her feud with Katy Perry. "'Cause she's dead." More than a little on the nose, but at least there's no ambiguity there. "Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, "I made that b***h famous".

After three years of waiting, Taylor Swift has finally dropped a new single "Look What You Made Me Do" and hopefully it'll soften the blow of waiting until November 10 for the full album.

West would make sense as the song's subject, as the two got off to a rocky start in 2009 when he stole her moment at the MTV VMAs.

This message certainly did not come standard with Taylor's iPhone (she has an iPhone), so clearly she had to record it herself.

Last night, the 27-year-old singer dropped the first single off her sixth studio album, Reputation.

While fans don't seem to be happy with Swift's new song, many of her fellow celebrties came out to praise Swift's single. "I don't like your ideal crime / How You Laugh When You Lie / You said the gun was mine / Isn't cool, no, I don't like you".

Then there's chorus, which is a repetition of "Look what you made me do". While I wanted to be supportive of Kanye on the phone call, you can not "approve" a song you haven't heard.

After wiping her social media clean this past week, Swift fans took to the internet with predictions that Taylor might be up to something big.

For Swift's fans, her return is just in the nick of time, too.
