Missing Richardson girl was put outside for not drinking her milk

Mathews at one point told investigators that coyotes have been seen in the alley, but investigators say there's no indication that one might have dragged the girl away.
Sgt. Kevin Perilich told the Houston Chronicle that 37-year-old Mathews allegedly told police that he made his daughter stand by a tree in the alley near their home because she wouldn't finish drinking her milk.
Authorities have discontinued an Amber Alert that was issued over the weekend for a Richardson, Texas girl, but Richardson police say the investigation into her disappearance continues in full.
Mathews and his wife adopted Sherin two years from an orphanage in India, NBC 5 reports.
Members of the family's church gathered outside of the home Saturday afternoon and said the girl's parents were being interviewed at police headquarters. When she disappeared, she was wearing a pink top and black pajama bottoms.

She is described as Asian, about 3 feet tall and 22 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. They have also arrested the girl's father.
Members of the family's church, Emmanuel Bible Chapel in Irving, have been in and out of the home, comforting the girl's mother and looking behind the home where Sherin was last seen. Church members printed and posted fliers in the family's neighborhood and surrounding the Richland Meadows area, according to NBC. She stated that she never thought she'd see the day that "the cutest baby in our church has gone missing".
The charge is abandoning or endangering a child.
"That does not seem like a normal response that one would do if you have a missing child", Perlich said.
