According to a screenshot of an email sent by Rex Fryhover, HMD Global's USA head of sales, and first obtained by NokiaPowerUser, the company is disappointed that it won't be launching the Nokia 8 on American soil.
As per our sources, Nokia is jumping on the "thin bezel" bandwagon with Nokia 9. While the render shows all sides of the Nokia 9 clearly, we can not spot an earphone jack on the device from the available images. It's a flagship smartphone and is called Nokia 9. In the new leaks, you can see the cameras vertically positioned at the top-center with flash next to them. The fingerprint sensor of the smartphone is going to be placed on the rear panel and the antenna bands on the side panels. Instead of the 3.5mm audio jack port, the phone may come with USB Type-C earphones. Unfortunately, the headphone jack is missing once again. The build quality and design is incredible, and it packs Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor, along with a Carl Zeiss dual-camera.
Other than Nokia 9, earlier rumors were also claiming that Nokia is also working on a budget-friendly smartphone, Nokia 2.

Sad news for the Nokia fans in the United States of America, the motherland of the silicon valley. When it comes to software, the phone is expected to run on Android Oreo. "But please stay tuned for future USA based devices, as we are developing the portfolio". At a little over £200 it's still a value prospect as there are some noteable spec bumps up from the Nokia 5, including a Full HD display resolution, an improved camera, and enhanced audio.
In a statement, HMD Global said: "To a disappointment, we will not be launching the Nokia 8 in the USA".
