Kushner hands over key documents to Mueller in Russian Federation probe

While Kushner is not the focus of Mueller's probe, "investigators now have begun asking questions about Kushner's role in the firing of FBI Director James Comey", Perez said.

Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser, has turned over documents to Russian Federation special counsel Robert Mueller, CNN reported Thursday.

Mr Mueller's investigators who are looking into the alleged Russian Federation meddling in the 2016 US Presidential elections have expressed an interest in Mr Kushner. Firing Mueller would reveal his own guilt and that fact has made the President a spectator as the investigation continues to escalate. However, in July, it was reported, and later Kushner confirmed, that he met Russian during Trump's presidential campaign, however, "did not collude with Russians".

An op-ed in Politico Friday by former White House ethics attorneys Richard Painter, Norman Eisen, and Virginia Canter warns that Trump's contacts with Bannon, if they touched on Robert Mueller's special counsel investigation, could violate the law.

Kushner, 36, who is married to President Trump's daughter Ivanka, voluntarily turned over the documents - which had been previously presented to congressional investigators - to Mueller's team "in recent weeks". Former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos has pleaded guilty for making a false statement to the Federal Bureau of Investigation about contacts with people connected with the Russian government.

The FBI Identifies Another 'Person of Interest' in NYC Terror Attack
The agency had earlier issued the poster for Mukhammadzoir Kadirov , 32, saying it was seeking information about him. The FBI and NYPD say that Mukhammadzoir Kadirov is a person of interest in the case.

Two separate sources told CNN that investigators have asked other witnesses about Kushner's role in firing Comey.

"Jared is the worst political adviser in the White House in modern history", Sam Nunberg, an associate of Stone who was a Trump campaign operative, told Vanity Fair.

Former White House staff members-whether encamped at Breitbart News or anywhere else-are constrained by 18 USC 207, which governs "restrictions on former officers, employees, and elected officials of the executive and legislative branches". He was also among three top Trump campaign officials who attended an infamous June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower with a Kremlin-backed lawyer. When Roger Stone recently told Trump that Kushner was giving him bad political advice, Trump agreed, according to someone familiar with the conversation.

Earlier this week Mr. Mueller's probe was the center of attention when it charged Mr. Manafort and his longtime business partner Rick Gates - with conspiracy and money laundering. Both men pleaded not guilty.
