Taylor Swift Went Full Pop Star For 'Ready For It' On SNL

On the November 11 episode of Saturday Night Live, the pop darling joined host Tiffany Haddish as the musical guest for the evening. "Ready for It?" from her new album Reputation. The singer performed the standard two songs and did not appear in any skits, although she did stand alongside host Tiffany Haddish for the show's curtain call (and, rather oddly, whooped when Haddish thanked her social worker).

Later in the show, Taylor performed an acoustic version of her track 'Call It What You Want' to a quiet studio. "Ready for It?" the second single released ahead of Reputation's launch.

With "Call It What You Want", Swift ditched the choreography and sat down with her guitar.

As Ann Powers wrote of Swift and her Reputation-era persona, "the direct invocations of black pop on Reputation are many and obvious". Martha Hunt tweeted, "Can we talk about #TaylorOnSNL Those moves and that high note!"

A lot of fans think Swift is at the top of her game. "We are mosaics of our worst selves and our best selves, our deepest secrets and our favorite stories to tell at a dinner party, existing somewhere between our well-lit profile photo and our drivers license shot", she continued.
