The worst-kept secret in college football over the last six days was UCLA and Chip Kelly looked like a ideal fit, and now that pairing is expected to come to a reality with Kelly finalizing a deal to be the new coach of the Bruins. The veteran head coach will receive a deal worth $23.3 million that includes a $9 million reciprocal buyout.
The UCLA football program now has a new head coach less than a week after former coach Jim Mora was sacked.
The Gators had kept their options open while pursuing Kelly, and are expected to shift their focus to Scott Frost, who, in his second season with UCF, has guided the Knights to an undefeated season ahead of their matchup against South Florida on Friday. Offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch was named interim head coach for the remainder of the season.
Allegations relating to Rafale deal shameful
She said it was only Prime Minister Narendra Modi who boldly made a decision to sign the deal to buy 36 Rafale fighter jets. It was not financially prudent to negotiate ToT for just 36 fighters, she said.
Chip Kelly is returning to the Pac-12.
Kelly will be formally introduced as the Bruins' head coach on the UCLA campus on Monday afternoon. His high-powered and high-paced offense helped lead the Ducks to a 46-7 record and multiple bowls in 4 years.
Kelly spent four years at OR, leading them to a bowl game all four years.
But that tenure was not without controversy as the NCAA Committee on Infractions handed down penalties to the program in 2013 because of recruiting violations, including three years of probation and an 18-month show-cause penalty for Kelly. This move is official following UCLA's announcement on Saturday morning. Under Mora, the Bruins dropped six straight games against ranked programs. The former Oregon Ducks coach now is an analyst with ESPN. "I look forward to his presence in Westwood".
