Watch Conor McGregor Jump The Cage & Shove The Referee at Bellator 187

Conor McGregor angrily confronted an MMA referee at an event in Dublin on Friday night after jumping into the Octagon.

What started as a middle-of-the-road Bellator fight card that was to air on Spike TV on a tape delay due to the time difference between the United States and Ireland took an interesting turn on Friday.

That included Charlie Ward, who beat John Redmond in the final seconds of the first round of their contest.

Though McGregor's actions are inexcusable, it's not a complete mystery why the UFC lightweight champion might have an issue with Goddard.

Last month, Goddard issued McGregor a formal warning during a UFC Fight Night event in Gdansk, Poland.

"The Notorious" appeared cageside during the fight alongside Artem Lobov.

McGregor should not have been in the cage under any circumstances considering he was not an official member of Ward's corner.

McGregor eventually left the cage while continuing to shout at Goddard as he made his way out.

Amid their celebration, veteran MMA ref, Marc Goddard, tried to break things up and told McGregor to get out of the ring.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you're well aware that McGregor mad his much anticipated professional boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather back in August.

It is not immediately clear whether McGregor will face any disciplinary action by the UFC or a regulatory body.

McGregor returned and was stopped at the top of the fence by another official.
