Reds boss Jürgen Klopp will surely be looking to bolster his defensive ranks during the January transfer window, if he has genuine ambitions of his side challenging for major honours on all fronts this season.
However, Klopp took issue with those suggesting Liverpool need reinforcements, saying: "I don't think the solution is always a new player".
Liverpool's Fab Four, as they have been dubbed, have scored 50 goals between them already this season and Wenger concedes he faces a dilemma over whether to play a four-man or three-man defence.
"It's hard to guess, but we have tried to see what I'll do but for me the most important thing is we turn up and it's a positive performance".
Rafa Benitez reacts to criticism of his Newcastle players
"We are a team that came from the Championship and where we are now could be expected". We have to learn quickly and make sure we take our chances when we get them.
"If you watch Arsenal in the past, their two decisive players were [Mesut] Ozil or [Alexis] Sanchez". The boys did well in different systems, which I really like because it's the biggest improvement.
"He did well from the first day, but I know how it is if you're kind of a big signing - then everybody expects you immediately on the pitch, and when you are on the pitch, then you have to perform immediately". But it's hard. "I was happy from the first day about his involvement, about his attitude, and since then he became more and more a Liverpool player".
He said: "They are a complete side, able to do everything. It's about us to just make sure we are on top of our game and that we play with pace and a determined attitude".
"There are always things to work on, that's how football is, but of course the numbers are important - only four [conceded] in the last nine is good". "After that we looked at certain things to try and change them and then it's all about the togetherness in the squad". Whoever will play, they have a strong side.
