J&K: 5 CRPF personnel killed in terror attack

Pulwama (Jammu and Kashmir), Dec 31 (ANI): Two heavily armed terrorists stormed into Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) training camp.

Tantray, the 47-year-old JeM divisional terrorist was a four feet two inches tall militant, who also walked with a limp and had become a major headache for the security forces in the valley.

She paid rich tributes to the jawans including an officer, killed in the post-midnight attack on the training centre at Lethpora in south Kashmir.

Earlier, confirming the storming of the militants into the centre, Director General of Police Dr S P Vaid said "Yes, the challenge in Kashmir has always been there. They did not get right place and right time" to carry out the attack. CRPF's spokesman Rajesh Yadhav told Mirror that terrorists opened indiscriminate firing and injured three personnel who were rushed to hospital where one of them succumbed.

Four CRPF personnel and two militants have been killed while three CRPF men have sustained injuries in Pulwama fidayeen attack on Sunday.
