Donald Trump Jr 'cashing in' on father's name in India

During the visit, the 40-year-old Trump, the executive vice president of the Trump Organization, will take a break from his private promotional tour to give an address on "Reshaping Indo- Pacific Ties: The New Era of Cooperation" at a global business summit on Friday evening, co-sponsored by the Economic Times newspaper.
Details of his full remarks have yet to be disclosed, but cooperation between India nations in the Pacific region and the US may be addressed.
India is already the Trump Organization's biggest worldwide market, with developments in four major cities - Mumbai, Pune, Gurugram and Kolkata. While the projects that the younger Trump is promoting in India were agreed to before his father was elected, ethics experts have long seen the use of the Trump name to promote even existing business ventures as tricky territory.
During his visit, Trump Jr will also visit Kolkata, where the construction of a project with 137 luxury units is set to soon begin. "But it makes sense for Donald Trump Jr.to do it".
President Trump has shown a deep adoration for India and Prime Minister Modi, who he famously hugged outside the White House back last June.

He kickstarted his India visit with a business meeting at a five star hotel in the national capital.
"The planned speech by Trump Jr. has renewed conflict of interest concerns, with some questioning why the US President's son will be lecturing on foreign policy while simultaneously trying to hawk his family business's lavish new condominiums", The Washington Post reported.
The president handed over daily operations of the company to his sons Donald Jr. and Eric, but he remains the owner.
India is the Trump Organization's biggest global market, with four real estate projects underway. The election changed that, he said.
"I have always had a deep admiration for your country and for its people, and a profound appreciation for your rich culture, heritage and traditions", Trump said in June during a state visit by Modi, one of many such words of praise for India he has offered in the previous year.
