Speaking on the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi dispute, All India Muslim Personal Law Board member Maulana Sayyed Salman HusainiNadvi has claimed that there is a provision in Islam to shift the mosque.
The case will now come up for hearing on March 14.
They had also sought a hearing by a five-judge Constitution Bench.
"We have never turned down any offer for talks from Hindu parties to the dispute but always requested that the offer for mutual settlement should be just and practical".

Additional Solicitor General Tushar Mehta appearing for the UP government submitted that 504 transcripts including Ramayana, Bhagwad Gita and Mahabharata and other scriptures had already been translated into English and furnished. The court, however, refused to hear it on a day-to-day basis.
The apex court has commenced its final hearings on the Ayodhya dispute; also, there were heated exchanges between two senior advocates appearing for different parties after one of them suggested they should exchange the synopsis of their likely arguments. After holding talks with spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Nadvi said that he would also support the construction of a university at the site. The SC asked the parties to complete the process in two weeks and posted the matter for hearing on March 14. However, the bench wondered what role non-parties or intervenors had in a land dispute which was between the parties to the original title suit before the Allahabad HC.
On the Ayodhya matter, the CJI said "on this case... it has to go on... we are conscious of this case". Besides, there are more than 10 other appeals as well.
"At least 700 cases involving ordinary citizens can be disposed of in 25 days if the court deals with them for about an hour-and-a-half", Justice Misra said.
