All allegations against me are baseless: Shami

According to the media, Jahan told that she found one of Shami's phones hidden under the driver seat of his vehicle on which she found out the chats.

This led to speculation about the reasons for his omission and a top BCCI official said that the Board has held back his name owing to the charges levelled by his wife Hasin Jahan. "Shami abused me and started beating me after returning from South Africa".

According to a senior board official, Shami's name is being withheld as there is a dilemma on whether to include him following his wife's allegations. It is expected that Jahan might take legal action against Shami and his family members.

Speaking to India Today to clarify his side of the story, Shami further asserted that the accusations made against him are completely baseless, and denied them. Can not say anything about the case till the time I get to know everything. "Instead of accepting his own mistakes, he used to vent his anger on me and even threaten me, asking to keep mum for my own goodwill", she added. The way I am, will stay with her like that forever, ' the pacer told ANI.

Mohammad Shami's wife Hasina Jahan has filed a complaint against the Indian pacer in Kolkata.

"You can check my WhatsApp.all those WhatsApp messages she has shown to the media, that is neither my chat nor my phone number". Shami told his brother in UP to kill me and bury my body in some jungle.
