Black Panther 2 Confirmed By Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige

In the month since its release, "Black Panther" has broken records at the box office and barriers in the film industry.

"Nothing specific to reveal, other than to say we absolutely will do that", said Feige. And it's why the studio is going all in on Captain Marvel, a '90s-set superhero movie that will predate the rest of the MCU.

Considering how well Black Panther has performed, it seems inevitable that Marvel will revisit the technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda for a sequel flick. "Okoye, I think I could watch three action movies with just Okoye", said Kevin Feige at EW. I'm not saying we're doing that, but I'm saying that we're intrigued by them, he explained. Black Panther now sits at $940.3 million as of last night's ticket sales, so a strong global debut and a solid domestic performance should be enough to bump Marvel's latest superhero movie into the 10-figure club. The last time a superhero movie won an Academy Award was in 2017 when Suicide Squad won the Best Makeup and Hairstyling award, which was given to Alessandro Bertolazzi, Giorgio Gregorini, and Christopher Nelson. The Asian country was also prominently featured in the film. It was the type of movie to definitely see with a crowd of people and told a really endearing story. This location in the Marvel cinematic universe builds the foundation for the upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War", where T'Challa will make his next appearance, starting on April 27.
