Kevin Love placed in National Basketball Association concussion protocol, out against Charlotte

Kelly Olynyk scored a game-high 19 points, Wade blocked a pair of shots by James as part of a stifling defensive effort by Miami, and the Heat had little trouble on the way to beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 98-79 on Tuesday night. That wasn't a coincidence.

Love suffered his injury when he tried to take a charge on Heat center Jordan Mickey, who knocked loose one of Love's front teeth. Love scored one point in seven minutes before leaving the game. But, a team spokesperson told ESPN's Dave McMenamin that Love was showing some concussion-like symptoms at halftime.

Following Tuesday night's front tooth subluxation in the first quarter and subsequently experiencing concussion-like symptoms at halftime and not returning to play, Cavaliers forward Kevin Love received additional evaluation Wednesday morning and has been placed in the National Basketball Association concussion protocol. And LeBron James can't answer them all.

"KD feels like he's ready to go - we're going to give him two extra days just to be safe", he said. "I believe it was his tooth", Cleveland's acting head coach Larry Drew said. "We haven't had an offensive game like that in a while, and not having Kev out there to kind of stretch the floor for us, that definitely hurt us".

African countries sign deal for free trade blocs
Analysts say that if the deal is signed by all member-states, the united African market may reach a combined GDP of $2.2 trillion. Governments now have the next six months, by September this year, to ratify the protocol.

Josh Richardson and James Johnson each scored 15 points for Miami, which led 54-34 at halftime and has won 10 of its last 11 home games. Our rhythm was broken right from the beginning.

According to McMenamin, Love will be re-evaluated on Wednesday morning.

His return depends on how quickly he passes through the league's different stages of increasing exertion - from a stationary bike, to jogging, to agility work, to non-contact team drills - under the concussion protocol.

The biggest issue, in fact, would be Kevin Love's injury. Although there are only a couple weeks left in the regular season, a losing streak could cause Cleveland to slide in the Eastern Conference standings.
