Packers trade Damarious Randall to Browns for QB DeShone Kizer

He went in the second round to the Cleveland Browns, then had a nightmare rookie season. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Browns have agreed to send a mid-round draft pick to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for quarterback Tyrod Taylor. And in the deal, they'll be shipping 2017 second-round pick DeShone Kizer to Green Bay.

Kizer, who went 0-15 as a starter and led the National Football League with 22 interceptions during a straining rookie season, will compete for Green Bay's backup job behind star Aaron Rodgers. Kizer went 0-15 as a starter last season and led the National Football League with 22 interceptions.

As Schefter also noted, the Browns could still have plenty of moves on the way.

The Browns took the Packers to overtime in their meeting, and Kizer's potentially game-winning touchdown throw was foiled when linebacker Clay Matthews hit his arm as he was about to throw.

The Notre Dame product had a rough rookie season, as he found himself in and out of the lineup in what would be just the second 0-16 season in National Football League history. It didn't help that he was constantly under pressure, being sacked 38 times. He and Rodgers were the only quarterbacks on the roster before the Kizer trade. He was brutal in Cleveland past year on a team that won exactly zero games.

He followed that up with a 2016 season in which he completed 61.7 percent of his passes and threw for 3,025 yards and 17 touchdowns. He vowed to improve and come back a better player and person.
