DJI and Microsoft team up on SDK for Windows 10

This will enable devices such as drones and industrial equipment to take critical action quickly without requiring cloud connectivity. The project is a package of sensors and cognitive services with "onboard compute" to improve insights and operations.The company also announced updates to Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Cosmos DB, the Bot Framework and previewed Project Brainwave for deep neural network processing on Azure and the edge.
On the opening day of its annual Build developer conference - the first since its reorg last month via which Windows was split up and integrated into other units at the company - Microsoft is showing off the Internet of Things (IoT) and edge-computing tools and technologies it has to offer both hardware and software developers. Microsoft also announced today a new feature called Your Phone, that's created to show you the most important information about your phone directly on your PC so that you don't have to switch between your Windows 10 PC and smartphone when working on an essay or document. We're expanding this work to not only bring more Microsoft 365 services across platforms and into applications, but to better connect customers' existing PC experiences with their phones, helping to increase engagement for developers.
The chips will initially be available within Microsoft's Azure machine learning service for 42 cents an hour. The Microsoft Launcher app will also support Timeline for cross-device app launching.
This year's Build 2018 introduces lots of new Azure and AI products that are aimed at edge devices and developers that build for edge computing.

Microsoft says another advantage to using commercially available FPGAs, manufactured by longtime partner Intel, is that companies will be able to set up similar technology in their own locations, and not be limited to working in the cloud. Companies can also publish custom apps to the Teams app store. Apart from Timeline and Microsoft Graph, the Redmond-based software major might also shed some more light on the recently spotted Windows 10 Lean operating system.
This will also be coming in a more limited form to iOS if you use Microsoft Edge on iOS, which I would assume is a pretty small percentage of iOS users.
