West Ham's Jack Wilshere has same characteristics as Andrea Pirlo - Manuel Pellegrini

It's left Arsenal mired in their worst start to a Premier League season since 1992 and Emery knows that defeat to the Hammers would have the fans up in arms.

It was claimed Ozil stormed away from Arsenal's training ground on Friday after Emery told the midfielder he wouldn't start against West Ham. "It'll be a unusual one for me as I was never able to go there and play when I went out on loan as you can't play against your parent club". Welbeck, a late substitute for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, sealed Arsenal's win in stoppage time after Bellerin's fine run and cross gave him time and space to score from close range.

"He sat down with me and we decided that he would not play".

"I am sure [Wilshere will recover his best form] because he is just 26 years old, because he knows better how he must manage his physical work, so as not to be injured".

The Gunners have lost their opening two league matches for the first time since 1992 - to Manchester City and Chelsea.

Ozil was not part of head coach Emery's squad to face West Ham, with a report emerging during the game that the German had argued with Emery in training.

Papadopoulos faces jail over lies to Federal Bureau of Investigation
It happened early in the investigation "when key investigative decisions, including who to interview and when, were being made". Papadopoulos never signed a formal cooperation agreement, and no promise was made to recommend a break on a sentencing.

The last time a new Arsenal manager lost his first three games in charge was in March 1986, when the Gunners were led by the little-known Steve Burtenshaw, who was the caretaker boss between the resignation of Don Howe and the arrival of George Graham.

Another former Arsenal player made an immediate impact as goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski kept out Henrikh Mkhitaryan's strike with a tremendous stop. For the second half we were speaking in the dressing room (of the need) to help more inside with two midfielders. In the first half we conceded a lot of chances.

"We were very unlucky with the own-goal that put Arsenal on top, and the last goal was in the last minute when we are trying to get back in the game".

"I think everyone praised Jack Wilshere not just for one game because if he could play in a normal shape without injury, he was always a player who makes a difference because he is a different player". I think it's very important to show them a better performance than in the two first matches.

"It's clear we need to improve, we will continue working on not conceding as many chances to the opposition".

"Both teams can not win, we will see what we get out of it this weekend but we must work exactly the same again after this game".
