Jerome Boateng explains why he snubbed Man United

Manchester United reportedly thwarted attempts from Barcelona to snare Pogba away from Old Trafford in the summer.

"I phoned Jose Mourinho and told him that his interest honoured me and thanked him that he put his back into United for me", Boateng said.

"Agents and players are becoming far too powerful", Allardyce told TalkSPORT.

A lack of consistency and tendency to resort to apparent showboating has frustrated some United fans, but Doucoure says his former France youth global team-mate has always played that way, and it is what has enabled him to get to the top of the game.

"People say I'm a leader".

Manchester United is of the opinion that they can convince Saul with the better contract package and more playing time in England to make him consider a move to England. Then I watched the footage, and he didn't say at all what was written.

The Manchester United full-back appeared to be knocked unconscious by an accidental collision with Spain's Dani Carvajal . The England captain was livid after Danny Welbeck saw his 97th-minute strike chalked off for a foul.

"Currently, I play there, but who knows what will happen in the next couple of months".

Pogba has done very little to douse the flames, recently claiming that he will be a United player until he's seen wearing a Barcelona shirt.

"I always said to my players before they went, "While you're on global duty do not comment about the football club, just concentrate on your country and don't contribute anything that may end up being controversial". He never told me he wants to leave.

And it seems many United fans already want him to leave the club. "David is David, no need of more words".

Mourinho says Pogba has never mentioned to him that he wants to leave but admits he is now "in the dark" as to whether he will stay put.

"Juan and Ander, even if they are not playing or not playing a lot, not starting matches, from the personality point-of-view and character point-of-view, by what they represent in the modern society in football, they are nearly unique pieces that I also don't want to lose".
