Cavs send Korver to Jazz for G Burks, 2 picks

The talented perimeter shooter has played his part on all of his teams, but he has been traded yet again. This will be Korver's second time playing in Utah, with the first outing taking place from 2007 to 2010.

Korver, 37, is averaging 6.8 points on 46.1 shooting from the field and 46.3 from beyond the arc in 15.7 minutes per game. They presently have a 10-12 record, the third-worst mark in the conference, but they're within two games of the team now in the seventh spot, the Los Angeles Lakers. Whether it's Collin Sexton, Cedi Osman, or other young players, that group has gotten much more of an opportunity to produce than veterans not named Tristan Thompson.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to trade Korver, one of the best deep outside shooters in National Basketball Association history, to the Utah Jazz, a person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

This season, he had appeared in 17 games for the Jazz - all off the bench - and averaged 8.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists.

Australia's giant steer Knickers is too big for the slaughterhouse
Knickers is technically a steer - which is a castrated male bovine. "We all know when Knickers is on the move", he added. Standing at almost two-metres tall and weighing 1.4 tonnes, "Knickers" is unofficially the largest steer in Australia.

Ahead of the Utah Jazz's tipoff against the Brooklyn Nets, Alec Burks broke the news to his teammates that he had just been traded. "But that's how it goes".

Korver's contract has a $7.56 million cap hit this season, and $7.5 million for 2019-20.

"I'm someone who takes pride in shooting the ball, and I'm sure I can learn a lot from him, what he does to prepare, and from what I know of his game, he's great moving without the ball", Allen said.

The Cavs also receive an asset in Burks' expiring contract worth $11.2 million, something they might be able to use in another deal.
