Meghan Markle visits animal charity Mayhew and gala benefit with Prince Harry

"I'll take it!" she said, after a big laugh.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also became the new owners of a Labrador puppy in August, just a few months into their life as newlyweds. It's hard to make out exactly what the woman is saying, but it sounds like, "May the good Lord only bless you".

It looks like Meghan has a great sense of humor.

Stepping out in London, the expectant royal donned a chic monochromatic look consisting of an Emporio Armani cashmere coat layered over an H&M MAMA maternity beige knit dress and finished with Manolo Blahnik slingback nude heels and a Stella McCartney beige tote.

This is Her Royal Highness's first official visit to Mayhew in her new role as Patron of the charity.

Mayhew is one of four organizations Markle has made a decision to devote her time and global influence to work with.

Meghan was joined by Prince Harry on this occasion.

Meghan's four patronages "reflect the causes and issues with which she has always been associated including the arts, access to education, support for women and animal welfare", Kensington Palace said in a statement last week.

The duchess is a dog lover who supported various animal rescue centres in her home city of Los Angeles.

Meghan was unable to bring him along to the United Kingdom ahead of her wedding to husband Prince Harry in May, because he was deemed too old to travel.

The charity was founded in 1886 and today sees itself as an animal welfare social worker, keeping cats and dogs, whether family pets or companions for the homeless, safe and well alongside their owners, and supporting communities.
