The super blood wolf moon eclipse will occur at 12:12 a.m. ET on January 21, but you'll be able to watch the moon turn from white to orange in the hours beforehand. About once a month, a full moon is visible when it nears that far point and shines brightly as Earth covers up most of the sun.
"If people find any bit of clearness and a hole in the clouds, try to enjoy the eclipse". The lunar eclipse is for everyone! Because an eclipsed moon is always full, the moon sets (or rises) at nearly the same time as the sun rises (or sets) on the opposite horizon. The first total lunar eclipse to follow January 21's event will occur on May 26, 2021, and will be visible over the Pacific Ocean, with viewing possibilities in North America, South America and east Asia.
All week the Central Florida Astronomical Society has been celebrating Moon Week, and Sunday's culmination is this viewing party in honor of the SUPER BLOOD WOLF MOON!
As long as the skies cooperate and stay at least partially clear on the night of the 20, expect to first catch sight of the full silvery moon as it rises above the eastern horizon just after sunset. The moon will start to leave the earth's shadow at 11:43 p.m. Sunday and will return to its normal, bright complexion by 12:50 a.m. Monday, Nichols said.
NASA serves up a year-by-year list of total, partial and penumbral lunar eclipses.

She replaced Seargeant Bill Renshaw, Harry's long-serving head of security following his retirement after 30 years in the field. Currently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in the town of Birkenhead, where they were flooded with questions by the fans.
For thousands of years the beauty and mystery surrounding this disappearing moon act has fascinated cultures around the world, and even today it still amazes. We get to see that connection between the earth, sun and the moon in the sky in that moment, which is really neat.
For those who can't get outside or have their view blocked by clouds, the website timeanddate.com also has what Sullivan calls a surprisingly accurate and interesting simulator of what the eclipse will look like, as well as a livestream feed to watch the eclipse in real time. If you miss it this weekend, you'll have another chance in 2021. Full lunar eclipses occur between two and four times a year.
According to NASA, if the skies are clear the eclipse will be visible across North America, South America, Greenland, Iceland, Ireland, Britain, Norway, Sweden, Portugal, France and Spain.
On top of changing colors, the moon will be super.
"The planet Mercury is going to be transiting in front of the sun, which means it will pass in front of the sun and create a little black dot as it passes across", he said. The name can be traced to earlier times when wolves would gather to howl at the moon during an unusual event.
In addition to the moon's elliptical orbit around Earth, the path of the moon's orbit is slightly tilted from the plane of the Earth around the sun.
