Meghan Markle makes surprise visit to NYC for her baby shower

Meghan Markle flew into NY this week, her first trip back to her home country since marrying Prince Harry, for a "secret" baby shower. It has reportedly been organized by her good friend Jessica Mulroney, who arrived in the Big Apple last week from her home in Toronto, where Meghan used to live, to work on TV show Good Morning America.

The Duchess of Sussex is celebrating the arrival of her and Prince Harry's first child, who is due in April. Sources have said that the baby shower was held at a high-end hotel in NY.

It's believed her best friend Jessica Mulroney threw the bash in Meghan's honour, despite baby showers not being a royal family tradition.

It is also thought that Meghan's mum Doria Ragland wasn't at the NY celebration, although speculation continues that she will relocate to London when the baby is born in late-April.

Markle was spotted around the city on Saturday, stopping by Ladurée's SoHo location with a friend for macarons and tea, Harper's Bazaar reported.

The Duchess and Duke of Sussex were married last May.

Meanwhile, the vice-president of the Delhi Hotel Association Balan Mani told ANI that all fire norms were maintained in the hotel. According to the fire officer, the hotel had fire-fighting equipment, but it is not known whether it was functional or not.

The royal duo - who married in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in May - are now preparing for the arrival of their first child, and they are apparently considering sending their first-born to ACS Egham International School in Surrey, South-East England. "There was also a large flat cardboard box that appeared to be a convertible crib", a source told E!

She also carried a fun black-and-red clutch and wore thick gold hoops.

The private school used to be known as the American Community School, and offers an American curriculum to students aged 4 to 18. That's right, Kate Middleton (and every other mother in the world) did the same thing when she was growing Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

"One of the first guests to arrive was Abigail Spencer".

Okay, I have a confession: Meghan Markle is my girl crush.

Meanwhile, her husband pulled out all the stops too in a smart navy suit and tie, standing beside Meghan's side as they were greeted outside the venue.
