The top-seeded Michigan State Spartans have already beaten their archival Michigan twice this season, 77-70 February 24 in Ann Arbor, and 75-63 March 9 in East Lansing. Zavier Simpson added 15 points and nine assists, helping MI win its 10th straight Big Ten Tournament game - the conference's longest such streak.
