Maurizio Sarri Insists He Wants Misfiring Veteran Striker at Chelsea Next Season

The Blues signed Higuain on loan in January with an option to buy and he was expected to help fill the striker void, but he's managed just three goals in 11 appearances.

Chelsea were handed a two-window transfer ban by world governing body Federation Internationale de Football Association in February over the recruitment of foreign youngsters with the club's appeal against the sanction set to be heard on 11 April.

Their hearing takes place next Thursday and if they don't get it overturned or delayed, they will take their case to Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is ready for an important role at Chelsea as he makes look like a better team when he plays, former star Eidur Gudjohnsen says.

Midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has insisted Chelsea must win all their six remaining league matches for that top-four berth, but Sarri disagrees.

"We are Chelsea and it is a big derby, I don't like that to be fair but we have to accept it and also for the Premier League it is good".

Politics of Puerto Rico heat up
Trump's opposition to further disaster aid for Puerto Rico hardened Tuesday during a Capitol Hill meeting. In the past, Trump rated his efforts in Puerto Rico on a scale of 1-10 as being a 10.

"But I believe he will be able to do it".

Hudson-Odoi and Loftus-Cheek both impressed in Chelsea's 3-0 win over Brighton on Wednesday, but Sarri warned fans hoping to see both in action again when West Ham visit Stamford Bridge on Monday that he will need to lean on his squad if he is to succeed in the Premier League and Europa League.

"I think he needs time to improve his physical condition and time to be suitable for the Premier League", Sarri said.

"He has to improve physically and mentally and also that he will be useful for us in the last part of the season", Sarri said. We have to play very hard matches, especially away in the last part of the season but we only have to do our best and play to win.

"It's not clear the situation".
