Facebook integrating WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger

The company has already rolled out Facebook dating in 14 countries: Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Laos, Brazil, Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Guyana, and Suriname.

Critics have argued Facebook should face stronger punishments relative to the severity of privacy missteps it has made over the past year.

Facebook Dating will connecting with their secret crush; and there is a shipping marketplace that will allow people to pay for goods within Facebook. It added: "We're working on making more of our messaging products end-to-end encrypted and considering ways to make it easier to reach friends and family across networks".

Zuckerberg, during a speech at the company's F8 developers conference, says the site overhaul is the most significant in the past five years and was done with a focus on encouraging users to communicate in groups rather than individual public posts. It will also have a new social tab for interacting with small groups of friends.

And, Facebook's Messenger platform is getting a dedicated app for Windows and Mac computers with all the features of the mobile versions, including dark mode. A new feature still in the testing phases will let people watch videos together in real time on Messenger, similar to Facebook's Watch Party feature.

"It can be hard to find your sense of objective when you are connected to billions of people at the same time", Zuckerberg told the developers gathered in San Jose, California.

Meanwhile, Financial Service Committee Chairwoman Maxine Waters of California said Trump should have "been gotten rid of already". Meanwhile the Trump administration is stonewalling any congressional efforts to get at the truth through hearings or subpoenas.


The official release dates for the new features have not yet been revealed, but the company said it is now working on the redesign. Now Facebook Dating is launching in more places, including the United States by the end of the year, according to the company.

On top of this, Facebook showed "Secret Crush", a tool that lets users create a private list of users they may be "interested" in. It's worth noting that WhatsApp's beta test for payments in India has been underway for over a year now; earlier plans to launch within a month of the beta test fell through.

A redesigned Messenger app that also allows you to chat with friends on WhatsApp and Instagram (details on how are still sketchy). More content from groups will appear in the News Feed, and users will be able to share content directly to groups from News Feed. It also announced its newest Oculus VR headsets would be available in May.

In order to help people raise fund for a nonprofit that they support, Instagram will now allow users to add a donation sticker in stories to create a fundraiser and in-turn raise money.

They will eventually roll out end-to-end encryption onto Messenger, meaning nobody - not even techies of Facebook - will be able to see the contents of the message unless you decide to share it.
