However, Biden's campaign told NBC that he'd consider repealing the Hyde Amendment if current abortion access gets blocked by the conservative-leaning Supreme Court.

Abortion rights advocates are furious with former Vice President Joe Biden for flip flopping on the Hyde Amendment, which bans taxpayer funding of abortions. "We could call him Plagiarizing Joe Biden". Elizabeth Warren at 45%; Trump at 47% while Vermont Sen.

As in a number of other parts of the country, Democratic candidates enjoy more support with women in Texas according to the poll. "Women of means will still have access to abortions", Warren said.

In the cluster of social justice warriors running for president, the newest virtue signal to show the world just how #woke you are is to call for repealing the Hyde Amendment.

The measure was introduced by Rep. Henry Hyde in 1976, who said at the time, "I certainly would like to prevent, if I could legally, anybody having an abortion, a rich woman, a middle-class woman, or a poor woman". "I've lived in an America where abortions were illegal".

But for Biden, who is Catholic, it has been complicated.

Biden has faced criticism on multiple fronts this week.

"We're fine with any of the candidates utilizing our policies and publicly available documents in their climate, infrastructure, or jobs plans", Williams said in a statement.

The Biden campaign responded to the controversy by insisting the drafters had simply forgotten to include citations.

This isn't appearing to be as big a deal as plagiarism claims were in 1988-Biden's campaign has already acknowledged the similarities (though didn't apologize), and added citations.

It wasn't the only misappropriated speech Biden made before dropping out of the race - he also borrowed one from Robert F. Kennedy the previous year, and even plagiarized while at law school, complaining when he was caught that his "intent was not to deceive anyone".

Mike Williams, interim co-executive director of the BlueGreen Alliance, acknowledged that the Biden campaign used language from publicly available documents on the group's website, but he said the organization appreciates the emphasis campaigns have put on climate change.
