With the summit concluded, Trump apparently saw fit to make the public invite himself on his favorite social media platform.

It was not immediately clear if there had been additional diplomatic preparations for such a meeting, or whether it was a one-off. Whether it happens or not remains an open question, one even Trump claimed to be unable to answer after he raised the prospect in a tweet.
Trump flew from Osaka, Japan, where he attended a global summit and held numerous meetings with world leaders, including Russia's Vladimir Putin and China's Xi Jinping.
