At the San Diego Comic-Con they revealed plenty of plans for Stage 4 of the MCU, and we can expect a lot next year and in 2021.
But nothing in the MCU is ever what it seems.
"I can spend 90 minutes talking about what we've done or I can spend some time talking about what we're about to do", Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige told the world's largest pop-culture fan convention. For what it's worth, Feige did tease the introduction of the X-Men and Fantastic Four at the end, in addition to sequels for Black Panther and Captain Marvel.
The recent Disney/Fox merger has made both additions to the shared universe possible, meaning that the confirmation isn't exactly unexpected-but it is certainly more than welcome.
While Marvel have spent the last five years plumbing through their back catalogue, bringing some of the most obscure heroes in the superpowered canon to the big screen, one ommission has felt increasingly glaring: Blade, the daywalking vampire first introduced by writer Marv Wolfman in 1973.

In a weekend full of big Marvel announcements, it was revealed Mahershala Ali will star in a new "Blade" reboot as the titular superhero, and fans are ecstatic. Feige surprised the audience with the first footage from "Black Widow", which is now in production. The third Marvel film set for 2021 is Thor: Love and Thunder, with Portman set to play a female god of thunder. The series will have voice work from numerous world's favorite Marvel actors from over the years.

Rounding out the evening was Oscar-winning actor (and former Luke Cage villain) Mahershala Ali, who will be playing Blade in an upcoming movie that Marvel has confirmed will not be a part of Phase Four.
