Overwatch's newest hero is Sigma, a mad scientist and tank obsessed with harnessing the power of black holes and who lives on the edge of insanity. Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan is joining former Overwatch League pro Brandon "Seagull" Larned's Twitch stream for a first look at the latest hero.
For example, the use of anti-gravity shields, enabling Sigma to pick and place barriers to aid his team or deter the plans of the enemy will be an added layer of difficulty that can ruin the day of some the omnipresent picks in today's meta. He can absorb up to 400 shield, which combined with his 400 base health (300 health, 100 shield), makes him a force to be reckoned with. He also floats around, so he doesn't have audible footsteps. They'll implode after a short time and deal significant damage to any heroes around them.
With his Experimental Barrier, Sigma can create a floating shield at a location of his choice. He can recall the barrier at any time.
Sigma's right click ability is a projected barrier with 1500 health that can be deployed in different angles to help his team in different situations.
As another defense, Kinetic Grasp allows him to freeze incoming projectiles and convert them into shields.

Sigma's ultimate ability, Gravitic Flux, is one of the most powerful forms of crowd-control in the entire game.
Sigma's E ability throws a big rock at enemies, dealing damage and knocking them back slightly.
Gravitic Flux (Ultimate): Sigma's Ultimate will manipulate gravity in order to lift nearby heroes.
Sigma is an eccentric astrophysicist who dreamed of revealing the mysteries of the universe before becoming, in spite of himself, an unstoppable living weapon affiliated with Talon. Sigma then reverses gravity in a selected area causing all foes trapped within it to be suspended in the air for a short period of time. In addition to leaving them defenseless to onslaughts from teammates, Sigma will then slam them down on the ground for massive damage. She can be found reading fanfiction and manga while still waiting for her Hogwarts acceptance letter.
