To survive in cricket be a match-winner: Malinga

Sri Lanka's Lasith Malinga (C), his wife Taniya (L) and their two kids Ekeesha and Duvin pose for photographers following his last one-day worldwide match played against Bangladesh at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Friday. Being together in the Mumbai Indians' (MI) dugout, Bumrah learned the tricks of the trade and also perfected the art of bowling slower bouncers, yorkers and low full-tosses from his mentor, and successfully replicated the same in global cricket for Team India across formats.

Perera hit 111 off 99 balls before Malinga and Nuwan Pradeep (3-51) shared six wickets as Sri Lanka bowled out Bangladesh for 223 in 41.4 overs. He's done good work for Sri Lanka for many years.

Representing Sri Lanka in 226 ODI's, Malinga picked up 338 wickets and is the ninth highest wicket taker in the ODI list.

Champaka, a former Sri Lankan fast bowler, was the first person to notice Malinga's talent in the sport and helped him to play his maiden first class game for Galle Cricket Club in 2001. "Always admired you and will always continue to do so", Bumrah tweeted from his official Twitter handle.

"As a 18-year-old net bowler who I faced in Galla 2002 to the champion who's going to walk out today for your last ODI game u have been true to your self". He finished his career with a wicket too, bundling out Bangladesh with two balls to spare in his quota of 10 overs.
