Gemma Chan in talks to join Marvel’s The Eternals

The surprising bit here stems from the fact that Gemma Chan has already played Minn-Erva in this year's Captain Marvel.

The Eternals is one of the highly-awaited MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) movies from Phase 4, thanks to its star-studded cast. And in bigger roles crossing over between the movies and TV / Netflix shows, we've had Alfre Woodard play Mariah Dillard in Luke Cage and Miriame Sharpe in Captain America: Civil War as well as Enver Gjokaj who played a cop in The Avengers and Daniel Souza in Agent Carter.

Marvel Studios is adding a few familiar faces to The Eternals.

The film is thought to centre around Sersi, a fourth-generation member of the group born during the Hyborean Age who can manipulate cosmic energy to give her virtual immortality, invulnerability and molecular manipulation.

The couple of about two years are believed to have been killed either last Sunday or Monday morning, when their bodies were found. But they did confirm they are seeking to speak with a man seen arguing with Fowler, 23, on the night before he was murdered.

The film is being directed by Chloe Zhao from a script by Matthew and Ryan Firpo.

Filming on The Eternals is expected to begin later this year after Black Widow wraps production.

"The Eternals", based on Jack Kirby's comic book, follows superpowered, near-immortal beings. They lived in space cities and defended Earth from threats, like the Deviants, another race of super-humans that was more destructive and deformed. One faction was led by Kronos and the other by his warlike brother named Uranos, with Kronos' side ultimately winning the conflict while Uranos and his followers were exiled.

Marvel recently made The Eternals a bit more official at SDCC 2019, where they revealed the initial ensemble: Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Don Lee, and Lia McHugh.
