Rapper A$AP Rocky returning to USA after release from jail

President Donald Trump has since tweeted about it while claiming credit for A$AP Rocky's release.

A$AP Rocky's European tour has always been cancelled because of the rapper's extended detention in a Swedish prison. "It was a Rocky Week, get home ASAP A$AP!"

But prosecutor Daniel Suneson told the Stockholm District Court on Friday he has proven the accused were not defending themselves and therefore can not claim self-defense.

In a widely covered case, Swedish prosecutors earlier asked the court to convict the 30-year-old musician and consider imposing at least a six-month prison sentence.

Rocky was behind bars for a month following his alleged involvement in a Stockholm street brawl on June 30.

Trump personally called the Prime Minister of Sweden to lobby for his release but to no avail.

Whether or not 19-year-old Mustafa Jafari, who got into an argument with Mayers' entourage in Stockholm, was hit with parts or a whole bottle has become one of the key issues at the trial. "And we are going to be calling, we'll be talking to them, we've already started and many, many members of the African-American community have called me - friends of mine, and said could you help?"

Around 20 A$AP Rocky fans had gathered outside the court on Friday chanting "Free Rocky" and playing his music.

The bodyguard said that Jafari approached the group twice and was told to go away multiple times. Besides A$AP Rocky's bodyguard, the other witnesses questioned Friday included a friend of Jafari's who was with him the day of the alleged assault. Williams said he knew "something's not right about him".

The prosecution had argued that after an argument, Mayers threw Jafari to the ground, after which he and two of his entourage kicked and punched the teenager.

Multiple rappers have announced that they will be boycotting Sweden on future tours.
