Prince Andrew says he has "no recollection" of meeting Epstein accuser

Ferguson sent him a public message of support shortly before the interview excerpts were broadcast on Friday.

Knowing Epstein had "some seriously beneficial outcomes", at a time when he had left a career in the Navy and begun one as a trade and industry special representative.

He said: "At no stage during the limited time I spent with him did I see, witness or suspect any behaviour of the sort that subsequently led to his arrest and conviction".

Jason Stein, 28, only started his job as communications secretary to the Duke of York in September but resigned before Andrew spoke to the BBC's Newsnight programme about sex allegations made against him.

Lawyers for Ms Roberts-Giuffre have said the duke could not have been with Epstein without knowing about the man's illegal activities.

She went on to have sex with you in a house in Belgravia belonging to Ghislaine Maxwell, your friend.

The prince said he would "in the right circumstances" but added he was "bound by what my legal advice is".

He said they did not discuss Epstein during the meet-up.

Following his interview, the Duchess of York praised Prince Andrew for his honesty and openness. He recently apologized over his friendship with Epstein.

Nonetheless, Andrew, who had hosted Epstein at Windsor Castle, and remained in contact after he was convicted, expressed little regret for the friendship, telling Maitlis it had "seriously beneficial outcomes" unrelated to the controversies.

At least five killed, over 300 injured in Iran natural disaster
In 2003, a magnitude 6.6 quake in Kerman province killed 31,000 people and flattened the ancient city of Bam. In the last 10 days, there has been one quake of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.

After being presented with the infamous photo of Andrew putting his arm around a 17-year-old Giuffre's waist, the royal insisted the image was altered.

Britain's Prince Andrew has claimed that he was in a pizza restaurant on the night he is accused of having sex with a 17-year-old girl.

"No holds barred interview - no questions vetted", she said. Two years ago, the mom of two opened up about their divorce and said that she sometimes wonders if their marriage really ended. "And we try and uphold the highest standards and practices and I let the side down, as simple as that".

When asked whether the allegations had been damaging to the Queen, Prince Andrew responded: "I don't think it's been damaging to the Queen at has to me".

One reason the prince gave was his attire.

The Duke of York added that while Giuffre Roberts alleged that he was sweating heavily as they danceed at the nightclub, her account was erroneous as he had a medical condition at the time which meant he did not sweat.

Asked about Giuffre's accusations, Prince Andrew told BBC's Maitlis, "I have no recollection of ever meeting this lady, none whatsoever".

Later adding he felt the programme contained "excruciating" elements, Piers also seemed riled when Prince Andrew made reference to Epstein becoming nearly "a mental health issue" for him.

He has also denied any "impropriety" with Ms. Giuffre or any underage girls.

He said he specifically recalled taking his daughter to a party at a Pizza Express that afternoon.

BBC's royal correspondent, Jonny Dymond, wrote on Saturday, "There is of course a lot more to come - so far we've had two short excerpts from an hour-long interview".
