Jon Favreau Says The Mandalorian Season 2 Coming In 2020

"The Mandalorian" will officially be coming back to Disney+ for a second season. That's when you'll get to see Baby Yoda again. As with the initial season, The Mandalorian season two will only be available to stream through the newly launched Disney Plus streaming service.

The series is set after the fall of the Empire, but before the arrival of the First Order featured in the latest Star Wars movie trilogy. This guy's a little lankier than the standard stock of this ilk we've seen in the past, which could play into the story for Season 2.

As part of the reveal, we also got to see a new character revealed for the second season, which is now in production.

Indians trade 2-time Cy Young victor Kluber to Rangers
Despite the injuries this past season, there is no questioning Kluber's status as one of the elite pitchers of this generation. The option becomes guaranteed if Kluber throws 160 innings in 2020 and is not on the injured list at the end of the season.

Because season one technically hasn't come out in the United Kingdom just yet - although a lot of people seem to have seen it somehow - there's no point in spoiling the events of the first set of episodes for anyone who hasn't managed to catch them. Because The Mandalorian Season 2 has already been given the official go-ahead, filming has already gotten underway. However, Favreau has previously indicated that he plans to direct at least one season 2 episode.

The Mandalorian season 1 was largely written and executive produced by Jon Favreau (with contributions from Dave Filoni of The Clone Wars/Rebels fame and Christopher Yost), though several directors took the helm for different episodes. Insiders have hinted that several established characters from the Skywalker saga's feature films mythology will make appearances during the show's sophomore season. And that was the last we heard about the Darksaber until Moff Gideon used it. Let us know in the comments! That should lead to some fun and dysfunctional buddy-cop action, especially since Cara doesn't seem too fond of the grizzled old bounty hunter. The company recently released the finale episode, completing a first season that has proven very popular with Star Wars fans and critics alike.
