Star returns - Liverpool's strongest possible 4-3-3 XI vs Leicester

Former Liverpool boss Rodgers insists the Premier League leaders will be "hard to shift" but has warned Klopp against complacency.

The victory was largely down to the performance of attacking right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold who created three goals and scored one himself.

Klopp said: "We try to use the skills of the two boys - good crosses, speed, very lively, very courageous and very fit endurance-wise so they can do the defensive transition as well". But we are not even halfway [through the campaign].

Roberto Firmino netted the victor against Flamengo in Qatar and the forward got on the end of two crosses from Alexander-Arnold at King Power Stadium. Asked if his side had played better this season, Klopp replied: "We played an exceptional game against Manchester City, a super game against Arsenal and we have had a few better games".

Kane swept home at the second attempt after his first shot was saved by Mat Ryan before Alli then delivered all three points with a delightful chipped finish from an acute angle.

Second-place Leicester City entered the match with the chance to decrease Liverpool's lead into single digits, but the Foxes weren't able to penetrate a stout Liverpool defence.

Alexander-Arnold scored the final goal of the match in the 78th minute.

The LA Rams Got Destroyed By The Cowboys & Twitter Didn't Let Up
The Rams' offense and defense had impressed the previous two weeks in victories over the Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks. Darby popped up on the injury report last Friday but played against Washington after he was listed as questionable.

The Leicester goalkeeper did well soon after the first Liverpool goal when he got a hand to a Sadio Mane hit from close range.

West Ham is a point above Villa after losing 2-1 at Crystal Palace, which sealed the victory through Jordan Ayew's strike in the 90th. It just couldn't manage a shot in the first half in a meek surrender when the defensive high line was exposed and Liverpool relished launching counterattacks. Leicester is coming off a 3-1 loss at Manchester City. Michael Oliver made the right decision and VAR confirmed it.

Brendan Rodgers' side now sit second though could be overtaken if Manchester City avoid defeat against Wolves on Friday (7.45pm).

They certainly did, and their dominance will inevitably lead to suggestions that the title race is done and dusted.

"We can't say too much, we will give the same answers every time and try to win the game ahead of us". Jurgen Klopp's side are unique, relentless and brilliant, just like their star player in the win over Leicester.

Liverpool: They won't be well rested after playing an extra 30 minutes on Saturday and then having to travel back from Qatar, so it will be interesting to see if Jurgen Klopp rests some of his players.
