Number of People Hospitalized due to Flu Continue to Rise

Flu season is heating up. "The more people who are vaccinated, who's immune system can fight flu efficiently, the harder it is for flu virus to move through a community" she says.
The total number of flu-related deaths in Nebraska has climbed to five, and the number of positive influenza tests spiked to almost 6,000, according to the latest data released by the State of Nebraska. The CDC says flu activity is not only high, but it's been elevated for eight weeks.

There are regular flu shots that are approved for use in people 65 years and older and there also are two vaccines designed specifically for people 65 years and older.
