‘The Batman’ Director Unveils First-Look At Batmobile And Batsuit

The three images, which can be seen in the gallery below, were posted on Twitter by Reeves with just a bat and auto emoji and #TheBatman. Christopher Nolan's trilogy featured the Tumbler which was looked like a tank-Hummer hybrid and was very imposing while Tim Burton's collection of Batmobiles were very, well, Burton-y (and my personal favorite).

After an initial backlash to both the initial Batman reveal and the behind-the-scenes set photos taken of Robert Pattinson's stunt double, these latest images should do well to calm the nerves of fans who were beginning to worry about Reeves' much anticipated vision for the Caped Crusader. Matt Reeves has repeatedly spoken on the influences for his Batman and the Golden Age was one of them.

Everything about Reeves' Batman gives off a different vibe from those that came before unique to the director's sensibilities.

A little over a week after shooting a scene where Batman motors through a graveyard on his Bat-cycle (and a week since Russian police confiscated a real-life Batmobile), The Batman director Matt Reeves has debuted a first look at his take on Batman's iconic vehicle.

After surreptitiously captured photographs of the Batcycle leaked almost two weeks ago, Matt Reeves is once again taking matters into his own hands. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City's protector and will make use of the Dark Knight's detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. "It's told very squarely on his shoulders, and I hope it's going to be a story that will be thrilling but also emotional". The comics have a history of that.
