New York State to Conduct COVID-19 Coronavirus Antibody Testing Monday

The governor says that these encouraging numbers could be indicative of how the social restrictions may have successfully flattened the novel coronavirus curve and NY may finally be past its peak of new infections. At its peak during the first two weeks of April, the number of positive tests averaged more than 9,000 a day.

He said the new "strategic reserve" would include ventilators, face shields, surgical gowns and test kits, and the initiative also includes developing local suppliers who could quickly make more if needed.

Cuomo said the data added to evidence that NY, the epicenter of the crisis in the United States, had passed the worst stage of the crisis and remained on a path toward stabilization of its healthcare system.

Total COVID-19 hospitalizations are basically flat day over day, the curve of hospitalization rate is down overall, Cuomo says. "It's telling us, 'You can't have these surgeries because the patients can live without them'". Cuomo said he was well aware of the move and was pressed by his daughters on why he didn't do the same. And he said without an effective treatment or vaccine, resuming activities like going to the beach or concerts or holding parades could create a "magnet" for the virus to gain strength.

NY state residents who were hoping to get married during this time can do so via use of video conferencing apps and platforms such as FaceTime, Zoom and more, Apple Insider reported.

The clips showed Cuomo saying "What the federal government did, working with states. was a phenomenal accomplishment..."

Cuomo will attend a White House meeting Tuesday afternoon.

"So I don't know what's right or what's wrong with that national supply chain question, but that's where the federal government could help", Mr.

Antibody tests show who has already been infected with Covid-19 and maybe never knew it. Governor Andrew Cuomo says NY will test 3,000 people across the state in order to get a broad sample of who has already been infected.

The guidelines come as the state plans how to gradually ease up on outbreak restrictions.
